A global industrial software house faced significant challenges for over a year in securing a suitable candidate for the role of Principal Cloud Operations Engineer. The role demanded candidates with exceptional expertise in cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and security protocols. Their projects involved intricate application work, requiring candidates with a high level of competence and experience.

Despite exhaustive efforts and stringent recruitment processes, the company faced ongoing challenges in identifying an individual who could seamlessly integrate into their dynamic team while processing the combination of rare expertise sought for the role. 

To address the challenge, they partnered with the Oho Group, leveraging our extensive network and expertise in talent acquisition. Together, we implemented a comprehensive and adaptive approach:

• Strategically targeted teams in Cambridge renowned for their expertise in cloud technologies, with a particular focus on Kubernetes proficiency, to address the need for candidates with niche skills
• Advised to rebrand the role as "Principal Cloud Software Developer" to better reflect the job responsibilities and refined the job description to emphasise the importance of software development skills.
• Ensured that the revised role title and description aligned closely with their expertise requirements, thereby increasing the likelihood of attracting suitable candidates.

• January 23rd: Met with the Oho Group to reassess the role and devise a targeted recruitment strategy.
• January 24th: The Oho Group promptly sent out tailored CVs to potential candidates, leveraging their network and recommendations.
• February 14th: A suitable candidate was identified, offered the position, and accepted it within a short timeframe.
• Starting end of March: The successful candidate is scheduled to commence their role as Principal Cloud Software Developer.
